slider in post

Asked on February 22, 2016 in Customization.

Hi

I need to add a slider to a post. I have followed: https://docs.layerswp.com/forums/answer/re-how-can-i-get-an-image-to-display-full-width-at-the-very-top-of-the-post-i-can-do-it-in-pages-using-the-slider-but-not-on-posts/

I then wanted to add a hook as decsribed to
partials/content-single.php
but I cannot find:

<article <?php layers_center_column_class(); ?>> in the file. Am I getting this all wrong?
Thank you

    Hi there,

If you just want to add sliders to posts, use Layers Bootstrap Shortcodes extension or ShortCodes Ultimate or Master Slider or any other slider plugin that comes with a shortcode.
If you want to enable an actual widget zone in single posts, you are going to have a major challenge, as you must instantiate the widget area for each post individually for it to load a special widget for each post. I am not able to assist with code examples for that endeavor, but perhaps someone else who figures it out will be willing to share here. If you want the same widget on all posts, then you need a child theme with a registered widget area that you then output using a hook like layers_before_single_post
