Question on developer rights when selling sites

Asked on September 14, 2016 in General Questions.

Hi there

I sell PLR or private label rights products to other businesses who then can then in turn sell that product to their customers.

I would like to build a simple WP site as a template for my customers to resell to theirs but most free themes and plugins are not good enough for my needs and the paid products’ licences  do not allow this.

So can I do this with Layers? Allow my customers to sell my template sites?

Thanks

Hi Fraser,

It’s a case of licensing, Layers is licensed under the GPL, you can read more about it on this page:

http://docs.layerswp.com/about-layers/#license-faqs

Thanks Marc – there is a lot of info there and I am new to the GPL licencing process.

But I think I can do what I want.

I don’t intend to modify anything n the code – (don’t know how!) – I just want to build simple  wordpress sites that my clients can sell to their customers, just one level of sales.

I would certainly leave any attribution or licencing intact on the sites.

Do you think that is OK?

Thanks
