Placing H1 and H2 headers above the first content widget

Asked on October 7, 2015 in How To.

Hi,

I would like to know how to insert an H1 and H2 tag into a page title banner area  before the first content widget (h3). Right now there’s no page title at all.

Is the only option to use a text widget, add the HTML and then style the widget? There’s no formatting (CSS) applied to H1 at this point..

Am using the latest version of layers and the Layers WP Style Kit – Impeccable.

Dev site is at: http://109.73.236.150/~dayswork/keystonesecuritysystems.com/

Thanks!

    Hi there,

You can add HTML inside content widget columns or slider panels to take advantage of the other widget options. Click into the excerpt area and then click the <> button.

    Regarding headings in the framework:

Please note that your HTML5 outline is going to be all sorts of screwy whether you use an H1 or not. The original framework was designed before the current HTML5 outline structure was fnalized and so was still adhering to WordPress heading guidelines. You can biew the ongoing dicussion here: https://github.com/Obox/layerswp/issues/115

h1 support is tagrted for a future release once we get Layers 100% stable and can ensure an HTML refactor won’t affect existing child theme installs,
