Layers and WPMUDev ProSites

Asked on September 3, 2015 in General Questions.

I am using layers on a blog on a multisite network for my primary blog. The network uses a plugin called ProSites which is essentially a membership plugin allowing people to sign up to create sites.

As with most membership plugins, it dynamically creates some pages – in this case, an “account” page, where users can sign in and check/edit/upgrade their account.

For some reason, this page isn’t showing now I am using layers – it’s just a blank page.
Is there any reason for this?

Hi there,

WPMUDev is a premium competitor and so we are not able to test their plugins and they are likely not going to ensure Layers compatibility out of the box. ProSites is notorious for needing a lot of theme and CSS hacking to work. Unfortunately I can’t provide any support for helping you with troubleshooting 3rd party plugins, but WPMUDev do offer full support to subscribers and are responsible for helping you with ensuring it works in your theme of choice.  Off the top of my head I can recommend ensuring the page is set to the Blank Page template and that you are logged in with a test account

I use ProSites too, I am working on a project and haven’t got very far with it yet, I had my eyes on layers as an option for my users to build their sites the easy way, I’ve not installed layers and it got me thinking when reading this ticket as I plan to use upfront as another option, do you know if there are any known compatible issues between layers and upfront or will I’ve to install layers and test it?
