I can’t figure out how to create a specific aspect of my home page layouyt

Asked on August 14, 2016 in General Questions.

The URL of the website in question is towardthecenter.com.

I’m creating a parallax style home page that scrolls on and on and follows a specific template as identified in the PDF accessable via this link.

I’m working on what is identified in the PDF as 7 and 8.

Section 7 is the Most Popular Posts section.
Section 8 is the Facebook Widget Showing Latest Posts

I can not see how to:
1) Have these two sections exist side by side.
2) Have a Popular Posts Content layer display the individual posts horizontally where the post featured image is on the left, and the post title and excerpt is to the right of the post featured image.

I can use whatever help anyone can provide.

    Hi there,

You need to use a plugin that provides you with a shortcode for displaying popular posts (such as shortcodes ultimate) and one for a facebook feed. Then use the content widget with 2 columns to place the content side by side.

Otherwise, when using widgets that are not designed for Layers pages, you need to use custom css to select those and manipulate their styling and position – we can’t get into the coding specifics here but can point you in the right direction:

Thank you! As simple an answer as you provided (using the plugins to display content within a Content element), it never occurred to me.
