    Hi Vijay,

    I used to do that a lot and I switched to the pods.io framework for the exact reason you are looking for. In Pods you can define templates for every CPT very easy and display those as LayersWidget with close to no effort. (I was using Types before, but found Pods much more flexible – especially when it comes to LayersWP).

    Hi Marc,

    thx – but I think it’s unfortunately not that easy since I want to add arbitrary attributes to each element.

    Here’s what I need in the end:

    <div id="myid" class="myclass" data-animations="slideInUp">

    The problem is, that (e.g. on the content.php widget) the template looks like this:

    <div id="<?php echo $widget_id; ?>-<?php echo $column_key; ?>" class="<?php echo esc_attr( $classes ); ?> " >

    …so there’s no room to add other properties to the node (without hacking)..

    To me it seems, the fix is *very* easy:

    There’s already a filter to get the right ‘customclasses’:

    $classes = apply_filters( 'layers_content_widget_item_class', $classes, $this, $item_instance );

    I added this simple line(s) below:

    $attributes = apply_filters( 'layers_content_widget_item_attributes', $classes, $this, $item_instance );

    ...

    <div id="<?php echo $widget_id; ?>-<?php echo $column_key; ?>" class="<?php echo esc_attr( $classes ); ?> " <?php echo $attributes; ?> >

    Done.

    Unfortunately I must add this to any widget I plan to add custom properties to (read: ‘all’).

    Wouldn’t that make a nice enhancement of the current layerswp-widgets?

    Best

    andy

    Basically you can change everything on a default Layers-Theme – just like LayersPro does. Most of the time it’s just adding some CSS, but you could use add_filters to modify basic behaviour as well.

    So – I don’t know what was going on, but I rendered the video again, imported it again and now it plays (interestingly now the formerly non-playing videos play as well)….

    Hm…

    You can get that effect using different approaches, e.g.:

    body {

    background: black url(“.jpg”) no-repeat left top;

    /*background-size: cover; (or 100% or whatever fits your image best)*/

    }

    /* remove the background from elements covering the body, e.g. */

    #wrapper-site, .wrapper-site,.swiper-slide {

    background-color: transparent !important;

    }

    or

    #wrapper-site * {

    background: transparent;

    }

    you get the idea…

    Hide your header/footer with a little css, e.g.:

    .home .wrapper-site header {

    display: none;

    }

    I used the ‘Easy Video Player’ plugin and the OEmbed plugin (it seems WP must be a OEmbed-provider to stream local video) and then put the oEmbed-URL into the featured-image URL (e.g. http://layers.home/videotest/

    Paste this into the CSS section of the customizer:

    .l-menu:before {

    content: “Menu”;

    }

    As soon as you create a menu in WP and assign it to top-navigation, only the items in your menu will appear. All others are gone
