Layers Blog Page Is Blank – No Posts

Troubleshooting  Since: 1.2.3 Last Updated: Layers ver. 1.5 Time to Read: 1 minute

Visiting the page link for your blog, it appears with a title and no content.

You have the page set in the dynamic post list option in SettingsReading, or have no posts.

  1. Ensure you have at least one published post. WordPress will typically install a Hello, World! Post to get you started. To verify, click Posts in your admin menu.
  2. Go to SETTINGSREADING  and ensure the Posts Page drop-down is default (it should say --Select -- ). This is intended for basic themes that do not have a Blog template, where you need to direct the blog output to a default page. Layers has both a builder page and a Blog template, making this setting obsolete.
  3. Go to Pages and locate the page you want to use as your main Blog page and click to edit it. If you do not have one yet, see How to Setup a Blog With Layers
  4. Ensure this page has the Blog template selected under Page Template in the right column of the editor. Alternatively, you can set it to the Layers template to build a custom blog using the Post widget (make sure Pagination is enabled in the widget Display options!)
