How to Embed Audio & Video with Layers

How To  Layers User Guide  Since: 1.0 Last Updated: Layers ver. 1.2.10 Time to Read: 1 minute

Embedded content is supported by the WordPress core and enhanced in Layers through a Rich Media meta field on your post editor that allows you to attach an oEmbed URL to your post in place of a Featured Image. This is useful if you have audio or video content you want displayed in the Layers Post Widget on builder layouts that is also displayed in archives and single posts.

The “Video URL” field can actually take any oembed URL including vimeo, YouTube, SoundCloud and Twitter.

To embed oEmbed content in a post, simply drop the oEmbed URL into your content where you want the player to appear and WordPress will do the rest. Be sure to save the post with the Visual tab selected.

For a full list of supported oEmbed providers in WordPress, see WordPress Embeds

You can add embeds to the Slider and Content widget under the Featured Image option in the toolbar. Simply add the oEmbed URL instead of an image and set the ratio to rectangle.
